Happy Saturday to ALL!
About a month ago, we started an herb garden. I googled and googled and found that mint and rosemary were two of the most hearty herbs...*perfect! add those to the grocery list* We set off to home depot and found a plain rosemary plant and a mint plant called "grapefruit mint." I had read that mint is quite intrusive and that it can take over the area that it is planted in. Holy cow, they weren't kidding! Look at how much bigger the mint plant is! Pretty soon I'll have to take some shears to it and brew us some mint tea. The ring around the rosemary plant is actually the pot it came in. They came in biodegradable pots that you just plant right into the soil, reduces waste and helps prevent "shock" to the plant when it's transplanted...pretty cool right?
I am getting ready to head out the door and do some landscape/gardening sidework with the husband. Yes, I am a landscaper now...you didn't know? It brings in some extra money and I help so I actually get to see him on the weekends. AND, it scored me a LOVELY pair of pink gardening gloves. Time to get weeding and mowing, toodles!
